Anchor Bend

The Anchor Bend is a variation of the round turn and two half hitches and is used to secure an anchor rode to the anchor. To tie the Anchor Bend

• Wrap the working part 540° through the eye or ring on the anchor. Pass the free end of the line through the two round turns, as in A.
• Finish the knot by tying the two half hitches around the standing part of the line, as in B.
• When your anchor bend is as in C, pull the knot tight by pulling on the bitter end.
